Privacy
My Quran is a Qur'an reader. You can read it without an account, and nothing you read is sent to us.
On your device
Your settings, the page you were on, your bookmarks and your saved ayat are kept in your browser's storage. They stay on your device until you clear them.
Khatam Jamaah only if you sign in
Signing in with Google is optional. It is needed for Khatam Jamaah, which keeps your own khatam, whether you read alone or with a group. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We store them with your reading progress (the page you have read up to and the khatams you have completed) and any groups you create or join.
Members of your groups see your name, your picture and your rough progress, and you can turn that off. We use Supabase to store this data. We don't sell it, share it with anyone else or use it for advertising.
You can delete your account in Khatam Jamaah at any time. This removes your progress, your group memberships and your account.
Follow my recitation only if you turn it on
Khatam Jamaah can follow your reading as you recite aloud, turning the page and moving your mark for you. This needs your microphone, and it stays off until you turn it on.
The recognition runs entirely in your browser (Tilawa): your voice is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere, by us or anyone else. Only the result, the page you have read up to, is saved to your khatam as above. The recognition model (about 70 MB) is downloaded once and kept in your browser's storage.
Analytics and feedback
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which features are used. It doesn't receive your account details. If you send feedback or fill in the survey (Tally), we receive what you write and the email address if you choose to give one.
Services we use
Qur'an text, translations, page fonts and recitation audio come from the Quran Foundation (quran.com). The site is hosted on Netlify, and the recitation model on Cloudflare.
